Thoroughbreds have taken me around the world and back, and it is never lost on me how truly lucky I am to have found success doing what I love and for clients that I truly enjoy and respect. I have two passions in life – horses and people – and when I can help people to achieve success and enjoyment through their horses, it means everything to me.
After gaining international experience as both a jockey and an assistant trainer to some of the most prominent names in both Europe and America, I officially opened up shop after returning to the U. S. from a five-year term in Dubai as the assistant to Erwan Charpy for the famed Al Maktoum family in 2001. That international experience allowed me to quickly build a name for myself not only as a good judge of bloodstock, but also as an adept businessman who could skillfully handle all aspects of a medium-to-large-scale Thoroughbred operation.
Today I am called upon and referred by some of the top names in the Thoroughbred industry as both a consultant and hands-on business and portfolio manager. The ability to restructure and streamline flailing Thoroughbred operations is one of my greatest strengths. I was tasked by Brownwood Farm to do just that in 2010, and the result was not only bringing the farm back to profitability, but seeing them achieve their most profitable year in the farm’s 60 year history. That year Brownwood’s Keertana ran 3rd in the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf and subsequently sold at auction the following week for $1,000,000, with stablemate Snow Top Mountain bringing a final bid of $950,000.
This led to a number of individuals and businesses turning to me for their estate management and planning needs, and I have earned a positive reputation among the leading equine law firms and lenders internationally through my work. These services can include liquidation of bloodstock assets, portfolio restructuring, and bankruptcy consultation.
I thrive on helping my clients strategize and accomplish their goals while simplifying the process and making it an enjoyable and easy experience for them, as well as all other involved parties.
